The Sculpture Park in Tier 4

As of Saturday 26th December, The Sculpture Park has been in Tier 4.
Under these restrictions, we are able to keep our outdoor
park open to local visitors. We are in a position to offer an escape for a few
hours, to exercise both physical and mental well-being while taking in art and
culture in an outdoor setting. We do need to close our indoor gallery.
Part of the restrictions in Tier 4 is that residents should stay home as much as possible. Exercise is allowed, and encouraged, daily. In order to get to an open space to exercise, you should not travel further than you need. To comply with this regulation, we are asking visitors not to travel more than 8 miles to reach us.
A snippet of this part of the restrictions is below:
“Travelling within a Tier 4 area
If you live in a
Tier 4 area, you must not leave your home unless you have a reasonable excuse
(for example, for work or education purposes). If you need to travel you should
stay local – meaning avoiding travelling outside of your village, town or the part
of a city where you live – and look to reduce the number of journeys you make
overall. The list of reasons you can leave your home and area include, but are
not limited to:
- outdoor recreation or exercise. This should be done locally wherever
possible, but you can travel a short distance within your Tier 4 area to do so
if necessary (for example, to access an open space)”
Please do adhere to these restrictions. We look forward
to welcoming our local community to The Sculpture park over the next few weeks,
and then to the wider community once the restrictions are lifted.
Stay safe everyone. 2020 is now behind us to here’s to a
better 2021
