The Sculpture Park in the snow - January 2021

Art in the snow. A winter wonderland encapsulated The Sculpture Park in January 2021

Closed to the public but open to the elements, our art in nature exhibition looked peaceful and serene in white, on Sunday 24th January. A snow day creating picture perfect scenes to lift the spirits during lockdown 3

Lockdown 3, starting 5th January 2021, has seen many businesses closing their doors to the public to help slow the spread of Coronavirus. The Sculpture Park in Churt, near Farnham, Surrey decided it was no exception. With infection rates rising and the relentless struggle of the NHS being paramount, we decided to close our gates to visitors. Although, in recent months, we have stressed the importance of staying local, we decided that a public shut down was the only way to adhere to the overriding government message to 'stay at home'.

Although the doors are closed to visitors, The Sculpture Park is still operating it's main business, the sale of modern and contemporary sculpture from a huge variety of styles, subjects and budgets. With over 1000 sculptures available for sale and delivery, there is still a business to run behind closed doors. All sculptures are available to view and purchase online.

But as with many businesses, lockdown is an unwelcome and trying time. The Sculpture Park has become a lonely place, with just the wildlife to keep the few remaining staff company. So what better way to bring a feeling of joy than the exciting addition of a beautiful snow flurry!

On waking to snow fall on 24th January 2021, we quickly grabbed our cameras and headed out into the winter wonderland that The Sculpture Park had become. With a promise of beautiful scenery, we were not disappointed and we hope you have enjoyed the snow scenes from The Sculpture Park in Churt, Surrey, as much as Dennis did:
