EARLY LIFE:
Born in Edinburgh, Tessa spent her childhood in the Scottish Borders
EDUCATION:
Studied Interior Design at Chelsea School of Art, London.
CAREER:
Tessa became one of the country’s leading equestrian and landscape artists in the 80s and 90s, earning many reputable commissions including painting horses and corgi’s for Her Majesty the Queen.
From 1996 her interest in animals and anatomy led her to focus on sculpting.

Winsor and Newton Watercolours Award (1995)
Elected an Associate Member of Royal Society of British Sculptors (RBS) in 2001
Elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors in 2004
MEDIUMS USED IN WORK:
Tessa works in clay and editions of her sculptures have been cast in bronze and resin.
SUBJECTS OF WORK:
Tessa sculpts animals and figures. She is inspired by life, movement and atmosphere, portraying each subject with the very essence of the piece or animal.
