Ian Turnock

Ian Turnock has a background in graphic design which is where his interest and examination of line, form and pattern comes from. Ian’s work is influenced by design and arrangement in nature. He concentrates on the silhouettes, shadows and movements he sees and explores patterns, stability and balance. He begins his works with photos and sketches, from which he develops organic, abstract and figurative forms. His final creation is cut digitally into metals including steel, copper and aluminium as well as plywood. His sculptures are free standing as well as wall mounted and are placed both indoors and outdoors.
