Hilary Cartmel was born in 1958.

EDUCATION:
She was educated at the Maynard School and studied at Exeter College of Art and Design under Roger Dean and Trent Polytechnic under John Clinch.

Cartmel has shown work in both solo and group exhibitions at the Tate Gallery, London; The Yorkshire Sculpture Park; Kildrummy Castle, Scotland and the Serpentine Gallery, London.
Doncaster Museum and Art Gallery have just purchased a major piece of work for their permanent collection.
