Trained as a Bio-Medical Engineer (BSC Hons & MSC) . Changed career path to study sculpture (BA Hons Fine Art) at Staffordshire University and Post Graduate at the Frink School of Sculpture.

Winner of the Freakley Portrait Sculpture Award, SPS
Runner up V&A Inaugural Founders Figurative Sculpture Prize

MEDIUMS USED IN WORK:
Bathstone, Purbeck, Portland Stone. Some African Opals. Clay and bronze for portrait work.

SUBJECTS OF WORK:
Figurative - human and animal forms.
David enjoys working with the balance of the said and unsaid, carved and uncarved. He likes to explore the form fully in some areas of a piece and to leave other areas unworked with the aim to engage the viewers’ imagination and to experience the raw material of the stone.
