Chen Wenqin

EDUCATION:
Wenqin Chen studied at the Art & Design School of Fuzhou University 1995-1999. In September 1999 he studied at the Academy of Art and Design, Tsinghua University in Beijing before going abroad for a MA degree at the Winchester School of Art, Southampton University in UK. Since 2007 he has been teaching in Xiamen University.
MEDIUMS USED IN WORK:
Works primarily in stainless steel.
SUBJECTS OF WORK:
Abstract curves, winding shapes and geometric designs.
EXHIBITIONS:
Wenqin Chen’s work has been exhibited globally, and notably has also had the distinction of being one of the few living sculptors to have had their work auctioned at Sothebys.
